Simply download the BAFTA View app on your Fire TV Stick and log in using your usual members’ area details.

Supported devices

  •     Fire TV Stick 4K – AFTMM
  •     Fire TV Stick 4K Max – AFTKA

Other devices

  • Fire TV Stick (3rd gen and earlier), Fire TV Stick Lite, Fire TV Cube, Amazon Fire TV are currently unsupported. Users of these devices may be able to access BAFTA View and watch content however they may experience limited functionality and fewer available titles

Requirements for users

  • Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max
  • Smart TV or a TV with HDMI inputs/via a HDMI to component adapter
  • An Amazon Account (Amazon Prime not required)
  • Power source near the TV for the Fire TV Stick

Setting up your Amazon Fire TV Stick

  1. Use the USB cable to connect the power adapter and your Fire TV Stick
  2. Ensure you have batteries in your Fire TV Stick remote
  3. Plug your Fire TV Stick into your TV’s HDMI port and then plug the power adapter into an outlet
  4. Select the correct HDMI input via your TV remote
  5. You may need to wait for ‘auto updates’ to run before commencing the set-up wizard
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to login to your Amazon account and set up your Fire TV Stick
  7. Search for ‘BAFTA View’ and navigate to the ‘Apps’ results.  
  8. Download and run the app
  9. Login to the BAFTA View app using your usual BAFTA view login credentials

  • Secure two-factor authentication
  • Home Page shows entries from all awards that you have access to
  • Navigate awards by categories and tags
  • Search all entries
  • Curate entries by adding them to “My List”
  • Mark entries as Watched and Unwatched, and use this as a filter
  • Subtitles and Closed Captions are supported if entrants make subtitles available. To access subtitles click the menu button on the remote (3 horizontal lines) to show the subtitles dialogue

Note: BAFTA Games Awards will not be visible on the BAFTA View Amazon Fire TV Stick app.  The functionality to take notes is only available on the BAFTA View web app, and voting for awards remains on voting.bafta.org.

About the BAFTA View app for Amazon Fire TV Stick

  • In response to member feedback, we have developed an Amazon Fire TV Stick app to enable members to watch BAFTA View content easily on larger screens.  As with the BAFTA View web app, BAFTA View hosts content on BAFTA’s in-house player, Electron, and various third-party players facilitated by entrants or distributors.  This can result in different small differences in controls across each player.
