We are aware of an issue with the “my list” feature on BAFTA View across all devices / browsers. When saving entries to “my list” it will not show them for at least ten minutes due to a cache error.

Additionally, adding too many items to “my list” might cause latency on the site itself, as well as when watching / loading titles. We would recommend not making heavy use of this feature whilst we resolve this issue.

If you have added a lot of titles to “my list” and are experiencing issues logging in or loading titles please email voting@bafta.org so our team can manually reset your “my list”.

Therefore, if you have an active pop-up blocker in your browser you will need to disable it. It is important to remember that each browser you use will have its OWN pop-up blocker. So, if you alternate your use between more than one browser, you will need to disable pop-up blockers in EACH of them and not assume that having disabled them for one browser that it will apply across your entire device.

Conversely, some browsers may be set to block pop-ups by default. In these cases, you should adjust each of these to ensure they ENABLE pop-ups.

Also note that some browsers block or allow pop-ups by domain. If this is the case with your preferred browser, you should adjust it so that it will play content from our domain view.bafta.org.

The reason clearing cookies/cache can help, is due to browsers often storing versions of websites in the cache to avoid having to download everything (like images, backgrounds, logos, etc.) every time a website is visited. Problems can happen if the website has been updated recently and it conflicts with the cached version. Browser caches are temporary but some may store things for longer than others.

If you don’t clear your cache from time to time, you might not see changes on a website with your computer loading older, cached data. Old, unused extensions can also clutter up your browser, using your RAM and memory.

Clearing cookies/cache can also be called clearing site data or history data.
