Using HDMI connection for a PC or Mac laptop

If your TV has an HDMI port, the simplest way to mirror the films from your PC or Mac laptop to your TV is via HDMI cable. HDMI cables are available with different connections – such as USB > HDMI or HDMI > HDMI – so you should choose one which corresponds with the available ports on your laptop.

To mirror via HDMI, please follow these steps:

  1. Ensure Screen Mirroring is enabled in the Settings of your PC or System Preferences (Displays) of your Mac.
  2. Connect your TV to your PC or Mac laptop via an HDMI cable.
  3. Switch your TV AUX or EXT (or equivalent) setting to HDMI mode. If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, select the one which you connected the HDMI cable to.
  4. Navigate to https://voting.bafta.org on your TV via your laptop, and follow the steps above
